  • This is Pearl's first solo song.
  • Pearl references the Rebellion when singing "war" and Rainbow Quartz when singing "fusion".
    • The line "Who am I now in this world without her?" implies her bereaved duty as Rose Quartz's pearl.
    • The word "reinvention" in the song's bridge implies to her and Pink Diamond's reinvention to be freed of their duties, and ultimately Pink Diamond's reinvention as Rose Quartz.

  • Figure skater Dabin Choi skated a routine partially to the song at the 2017 Four Continents Championship.[3]
  • During a live performance, Deedee Magno Hall mistakenly says "Him" instead of "Her" but she corrected herself as it happened.
